Welcome to our coven of writers! This group is dedicated to the immortal underground of prose and poetry writers, all with an affection for the fanged and the macabre. Leave your stakes and your crosses at the door and enter; but beware. . . our writing can sneak up and bite you, especially if we're in a particularly bloody mood.

The ground rules are simple: The works on this page are all property of the authors themselves, not the club. Please comment and fav on the author's original piece. If you wish to join, please note that all submissions must be vampiric in nature, somehow. How you choose to interpret that is up to you.


- Send a note to us with "Join" in the subject line.
- Place our icon somewhere on your page. ( : iconvampirewriters : without the spaces)
- Add us to your friends list.
- We will add you to our friends list in return.


- Obviously, you must first be a member of the club. See above for instructions on how to join.
- Note us with "Submission" in the subject line.
- Include, in your note, where we can find your submission on your page.
- Please, only one submission per note. We will get to your submission as quickly as possible. You can send multiple submissions, but note that we will pace placing these submissions up in our gallery.

For our novelists: Update: If you are submitting chapters for a novel, then please limit your submission to the first two chapters of your book. This ensures we are not filling members' watch lists with chapters, but also allows you to gain exposure for your work.
We suggest adding links to your novel submissions that allow the reader to navigate through your book when they visit your page from ours. (Such as "Next Chapter" and "Previous Chapter".)

- While we are not literary snobs, we still ask you to spell check your work and read through it for obvious grammar errors, if possible. It's very, very hard to read something littered with typos.
- Updated: Submissions should have something to do with the theme of this club. While we appreciate and respect all literature, submissions to VampireWriters must involve vampires somehow. If you have other content you would like to submit, then please investigate our affiliates and the club directories for appropriately-themed groups.
- Updated: Violence, language, and mature content are acceptable, however any erotica must be within the guidelines established by deviantArt. We will not post work that involves depictions of rape, child abuse, or any other scenarios not permitted by deviantArt itself.
- Fan fiction is ok, so long as credit to the original author is cited in your author's notes.
- You may also submit pictures of your story's characters so long as they are in your gallery. If fans of your work post pictures in their galleries, then note us with the link and we can add it to our favorites.


We are more than willing to partner with other clubs as affiliates! Simply send a note to *VampireWriters or *peterdawes with your club's link and, if we agree to be affiliates, we will place your icon upon our page and ask that you do the same for us in return.
